Best backpackers I've stayed at so far on my trip around Australia. Cleaned regularly and throughly, includes pool, pool table and plenty of sheltered outdoor seating. Rooms are a good size so you don't feel too packed in. Great vibe. Only thing I would add is a shower curtain to separate the dressing area from the wet area better.

A cosy yet spacious place with plenty of nooks and relaxation areas. The management are great, ensuring all areas are kept clean by hostel-goers and through regular cleaning by staff. Management also keep well on top of everything in general, with a friendly yet firm approach. I was looked after so well, with a real personal touch, and I deeply appreciate that, it made me feel like I was at home :) The bathrooms are amazing: newly renovated and great hot showers, very clean, and plenty of hooks in the shower cubicles. There is all day parking (which you can't get in the Newcastle city hostel), and the location is still close to shops / beaches / bars / plenty of other attractions. You can tell a lot of love and care goes in to this place. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great hostel. Showers are the best, kitchen is good, swimming pool and pool table are free. Social and fun. Owner/ employees are friendly and helpful. These guys know how to run a hostel and have just got this so right. 5 stars, can't wait to come back on my way back down the east coast!

AMAZING SHOWERS + good comfortable bed, very clean, decent hangout zone with kitchen, couch + tv and an outdoor hangout space with a pool table. Chilled out and helpful staff too Only downside for longer term visitors might be that there are no lockers or cupboards in the room I was in. Overall very comfortable and quiet = good sleep. Especially for the low prices.

Pretty mad place to stay. Was pretty hot in November but the amenities were decent. They've got a pool which was lovely to cool down in. They have hammocks which were nice to sit and lay in late at night as the air cooled down. Theres a Playstation 3 with various games including GTA V. The TV is hooked up with streaming services. The rooms were okay for a backpackers hostel and the people were great too. Cant really fault it. I would stay there again. Its also not too far from the beach.

I liked this place a lot. Nice, chill vibe, and pretty clean as far as hostels go. I also like that they’ve made lots of different little spaces for you to sit and relax in. The receptionist was very friendly. Would stay here again if I’m back in Newcastle.

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was beautiful. Lovely kitchen, lounge and outdoor area, all very spacious and kept clean, big tv and free pool table too! Beds were clean and rooms were maintained every morning by housekeepers. Everyone there was super friendly and up for a chat, the receptionist that checked me in was very sweet and showed me around the entire place. Would recommend to anyone looking to backpack in Newcastle!

I enjoyed my time at this hostel, it's based in two old houses converted into a hostel. The rooms are spacious and have high ceilings. The beds are comfy and there are two power plugs for each bed. The kitchen is reasonably large with hobs and an oven. There is a TV with Netflix on it and a free pool table outside. Swimming pool was nice. Laundry room was decent but quite expensive at $5 for wash and again for drying. The only suggestion I would make is please let people use the facilities after checking out for the day as the greyhound coaches only arrive late at night.

Cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in yet. They clean the kitchen and the bathrooms daily. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are lots of covered places to sit and eat outside and inside, a comfy area to chill and watch a movie together, a pool and a pool table. The rooms have a good size and the vibe is very nice.
